Like A Book

She know my habits, both good and bad
She knows that sometimes when I smile inside I'm sad
She never needs to ask, she gets it with one look
I don't know who taught her
To read me like a book

First time I knew her, was like back in school
When all they saw was just a shy boy or a fool
So how'd she understand the things they all mistook
I don't know who taught her
To read me like a book

Still don't know why
She caught my eye
Across the playground watching
Unspoken dream
She sensed the theme
Now I wouldn't change a thing

She wouldn't prejudge a manuscript
Because the cover seemed a little nondescript
She sees between the lines what others overlook
I don't know who taught her
To read me like a book

Still don't know why
She caught my eye
Across the playground watching
Unspoken dream
She sensed the theme
Now I wouldn't change a thing

She know my habits, both good and bad
She knows that sometimes when I smile inside I'm sad
She never needs to ask, she gets it with one look
I don't know who taught her
To read me like a book
I don't know who taught her
To read me like a book
