I’ll be playing two sets, providing musical accompaniment to the lunchtime diners as part of this new community venture. My good friend and Associate Producer of my Long Story Short album, Ian Cleverdon, will be running sound and may well join me on a few songs. Free admission.

Michael Messer’s Acoustic Blues and Roots Weekend

Michael Messer’s annual weekend devoted to blues and roots guitar and slide guitar. Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney Band, Pretenders, John Mayer) will again be the guest tutor. Tuition, jam sessions, student performances and a public concert on the Saturday night in which I’ll be playing. Check out the video below, filmed behind the scenes at last year’s event.

Blues Week 2023

Euroblues Promotions Ltd’s Blues Week camp - its 21st Anniversary! I’ve been a regular attendee since 2006, and this year will again be running the Songwriters’ Circle over two evenings. During the day there are guitar, slide guitar, harmonica, mandolin and vocals classes taught by some of the best in the business, with staff and student concerts to follow. The 2023 faculty includes Tom Feldmann, Lightnin’ Wells, Homesick Mac, Eddie Martin, Adam Franklin and Grant Dermody.

Run by Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, Rush Hour Social aims to promote original songwriting from Greater Manchester artists. I'll be playing a 45 minute set in the foyer. Free admission.
